May 22nd, can anyone guess the significance of that date? It’s was our 9th anniversary here at Bud’s! It’s been a great run so far!
A great big THANK YOU to everyone who has helped to make this dream a reality! As we enter our 10th year in this great community we look forward to another 10 as we continue to grow!
Starting with one of our first fundraisers, “Breakfast with Santa” benefitting Charles Carroll Elementary we have enjoyed working with many of the non-profits and charitable organizations in Carroll County sharing our successes as we have grown. Carroll Food Sunday, Taste of Carroll, and A Culinary Experience (benefitting the Rape Crisis Center) have all been fantastic organizations to support. A handful of golf tournaments, a large basketful of donations including gift cards and Chef’s Tasting Dinners have contributed to countless local charities. As we enter into our 10th year we are excited about new promotions, menu items, charity events & other great ideas that we will implement as we have move forward to our 10th Anniversary!
We have expanded our lunch menu to include a 3 for $27 prix fixe build your own menu as well as a selection of wraps, salads, and lunch entrees. So if you are looking to enjoy a summer afternoon with great food in a relaxing atmosphere you know where to go. Maybe I need to re-introduce our old lunch slogan “Drive Up and Slow Down”. This summer we will also be reformatting our dinner menu and wine list. Look for those as we roll into July and August.
Our spirit of the month program has been a huge success introducing a variety of great spirits into our portfolio. Starting with Bourbons in April and Tequilas in May we roll into the summer with an expanded selection of great Rums for June. Our Spirit of the month program features a selection of unique drinks to experience the flavors of our monthly Spirits. And on Tuesday nights starting at 5 p.m. all featured “Spirits of the Month” are 15% off with an enticing 25% discount on one of our specialty cocktails every Tuesday night! A great day to come down and see what concoctions Alex has created.
OUR SPIRIT OF THE MONTH FOR JULY WILL BE VODKA!
While our Wine Club has been on & off for the past year the response has been very receptive to the wines we have been choosing each month – when we do them!
Save the Date. Look for another 15 + 15 +15 = $45 wine tasting coming up on Sunday, July 23rd. We will feature (at least) 15 wines (all selling at $1 above single bottle list price) under $15 with (again at least) 15 hors d’ouerves with a wide variety of flavors to compliment and contrast the wines. So save the date and plan on stocking your “wine cellar” for the summer. ALL WINES WILL BE AVAILABLE FOR SALE – A great way to stock/restock your wine cellar (or closet)!
Our weeknight Pub Specials have been expanded and are doing very well. Way back when we first opened and were “convinced” to continue doing Wing night on Tuesdays, honestly we were a bit reluctant. But Tuesday Wing night has been proven a great time and as always we still have fantastic wings (Honorable Mention Best Wings Carroll County Times 2014 & 2015) with LARGE wings and a “ton” of sauces & rubs to choose from. And as noted above we have enhanced Tuesday night with our Spirit of the month promotion.
Half price burgers on Monday – ALL DAY – has been a new fan favorite. But our favorite night has been Oyster Night on Wednesday! But alas, this is only a teaser since we will be switching up our Wednesday Special sometime this June. But we promise Oyster Fest will return after Labor Day. Don’t despair, we are working on a Summer Time Pub Special for Wednesdays. And on Thursday we have incredible pricing on Mussels and Peel & Eat Shrimp!
As we move into the next phase of our development we will be expanding our ever popular Mid-week features through Friday for the Summer. The Mid-week features will start on Tuesday or Wednesday and go through Friday.
Our Summer Mid-week features will kick off this coming Tuesday (June 20th through June 23rd) and will revisit our Pacific Seafood dinner. A beautiful four course dinner for two paired with a bottle of Argentinean Torrontes or a choice of Craft Drafts. Start with a shared plate of seared/chilled Pacific Jumbo Scallops (2) with Asian slaw and Kajiki ceviche. Follow that with a marinated Calamari Salad or Ahi Tuna marinated with spicy Kim chi. For the entrée share Nairagi Pho along with pan-seared Kajiki and grilled Ahi. Entrees will be served with lime infused black rice and grilled leeks. Then finish off with your choice of dessert. All for only $110.00 per couple plus tax and gratuity. Reservations strongly suggested
The following week (June 27th through June 30th) we will be featuring our Wild Game Dinner. More details to be announced as we finalize the menu and availability.

Monday, August 14th to Sunday August 20th – Carroll County Restaurant Week! (officially Restaurant Week starts on the 13th but we already had a prior commitment – see above). Join as we revisit our 1st restaurant week menu with a complete 4 course dinner featuring locally produced fare. With the exception of Seafood all items will be sourced from within 50 miles of Bud’s. More details to come. Monday, November 13th – Our 2nd “Eat for a better Community” eating contest! We are looking for 20 sponsors to sponsor 20 eaters to compete in our version of a Texas Big Steak Competition! Sponsorships are $200 with 100% of the sponsorship fee going into the “Charity pot”.
